I am Tom Crosby who trades as "UK Boat Surveyor".
In my past, I was a certificated deep sea British Master Mariner who has a base at Quarteira /Vilamoura on the Algarve coast and accessible for Portimao, Lagoa, Faro, Albufeira, Vila Real San Antonio, Lagos); Gibralter; Spain (Ayamonte).
For over 13 years, I was deep sea serving deck and navigating officer on cargo freighters, bulk carriers, timber carriers, container ships and latterly, offshore supply, anchor handling fire support vessels in the north North Sea; the Labrador coast, Newfoundland and the Grand Banks of Canada.
I have surveyed craft made by Nimbus, Draco, Bayliner, Rinker, Chaparall, Sealine, Princess, Sunseeker, Merry Fisher, Riva, Jeanneau, Merry Fisher, Prestige, Cranchi, Crownline, Bavaria, Dutch barges, and many wide ranging types and makes of craft of varying lengths up to 24 metres (80 feet).

After understanding any initial brief from the client I
perform boat survey assignments, and subsequent, comprehensive, thorough, easy to follow 24 page written reports about a craft's condition and serviceability.
I bring time served experience, knowledge, safety focus, and rigour for the process of performing pre-purchase, condition, insurance surveys and other consultancy related works.
Your vessel's seaworthiness is my prime concern.

For over 13 years I worked offshore serving on cargo vessels, bulk carriers, loggers, container ships and later offshore supply, anchor handling on fire support vessels in the northern North Sea; the coast of Labrador, Newfoundland and the Grand Banks of Canada.
